Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic Care With back pain an extremely common reason for seeking medical care, the second leading cause of lost time at work, and with the increasing epidemic of opioid/pain killer addiction and abuse, chiropractors have become an increasingly popular choice for pain relief, according to various consumer reports and Gallup polls. Approximately 40 million patients in the United States alone skip the pills and surgery and instead seek chiropractic care to get to the root cause of pain.

Century Spine Center’s Dr. Michael Zuschnitt believes in providing the best possible pain relief care for his patients. We are here to get patient’s out of pain and back to their lives quickly, not to keep them coming in for care after it’s no longer necessary. Some of our patients come in for care whenever they tweak themselves, and one treatment is all it takes. Other patients have more serious injuries, requiring a longer treatment regimen. While a few patients come in for weekly adjustments because it helps them maintain a more fit and healthy life. We are here to meet your needs, not push a lengthy treatment plan when it might not be needed.

Chiropractic Care and Diagnosing the Root of Health Issues

Here at Century Spine Center we use standard orthopedic and neurological testing to diagnose injuries to the highest degree of medical certainty. This is critical for a successful treatment outcome. When necessary we send patients out for advanced testing, such as an X-Ray, MRI, CT Scan or Nerve Root Conduction Velocity Test.

Another valuable diagnostic tool is the DynaROM, a computer based system for diagnosing soft tissue injuries in the neck and low back. Sprain/strain injuries don’t show up on an X-Ray or MRI, making them difficult to prove, and in the cases of car accidents or work injuries, this could mean the difference between winning or losing a case. The DynaROM system is the only system approved by the American Medical Association for objectively proving the presence of a muscle strain, and we have it here at Century Spine Center.

Chiropractic care methods include manual manipulation and spinal traction to help your body correct issues with your neck and spine. Manual manipulation is when we use our hands to manually work your spine to relieve pressure and help all your vertebrae move correctly. A healthy spine lasts a lot longer than one that isn’t functioning properly, meaning maintaining your ability to move and function late into life.

Manual manipulation is used to help treat health conditions and symptoms caused by tight muscles and joints, like back pain, neck pain, headaches, sports injuries, and even pregnancy pain. This method is designed to help relax tension, restore range of motion, improve blood flow and more.

Spinal traction is a procedure designed to increase the circulation of the discs in the back, allowing them to heal from injury faster.
